Oven Baked Chicken

A recipe to prepare, not quite a ragout, a meal for the new year (2018 - 2019). Chicken was bought at the local semi-traditional market, and I looked up this recipe here . [ Roast Chicken Recipe ] ***** W hat goes in oven roasted chicken? Garlic + Butter =  Garlic Butter Olive oil A touch of lemon A hint of dry white wine (optional, but adds so much flavour to the meat while keeping it so juicy) Rosemary Parsley When we roast a bird, we don’t do it with just a sprinkling of salt. No no no…we do it FLAVOUR. There is so much of it in this chicken that beats any restaurant chicken. Easy to find ingredients you have in your fridge or pantry. ***** Some slight alterations, i.e. not following directions, such as eliminating butter, olive oil, lemon, white wine, rosemary and parsley. What's in it you might ask? Salt, pepper, garlic (yum!), some key oils and sauces. Baked in the oven 250 degC for approximately 20 minutes then at 175 degC for the remaining ti

Books - Comics and Games

Drafted Feb. 1 2018 I've been reading a Chinese language comic book recently that is pretty captivating, titled "80年代事件簿": a whirlwind take of the author's viewpoint of Taiwan's modern history. He's a little older than I am but there are a few items so far that resonate, such as an appreciation for the (in)famous kung-fu icon, Bruce  Lee, with the whirling knunchucks and high flyting kicks firmly etched in mind. Reading this reminded me of my early year interests in cartoons, foreign films and games. I recall w

While I admire those brave enough to tread in shorts, I prefer the extra over layers for warmth. On the flip side, the cold weather keeps nasty mosquitoes and other nagging bugs (like ants and others commonly found in tropical regions) away. In that sense pants, or leggings, or treads aren't necessarily advantageous to shorts...but then pondering further, more cloth gives room for more pockets to store things. Then again, as I bramble and bumble about (though not quite a random walk), the tendency to leave objects about results in loose wrappers and receipts all over the place. So clean up is good to get organized.
