This guy screwed Taiwan over!

Actually not this guy, but his likeness. He basically treated Taiwan like the dough he's mucking up. Ok, that was a bit too vehement, but CKS really only thought of Taiwan as a temporary home. Still one cannot deny his greatness. His legacy still affects Taiwan today, some for better and some for worse.

Moon Festival just went by, and I had a great weekend. Lots of mooncake leftover though, so I'll probably bring them in to the lab to share. Can't possibly eat all that stuff and not feel good about myself afterwards.

So a couple jokes...told by a friend during the party this Friday. A guy is engaged to this girl. Several weeks before the wedding, the girl runs off with a doctor. From that day on, the guy started eating apples. Da da dum!

Ok, this one's requires Chinese. 那個cartoon最黑暗? Ans: 小叮噹. Why? Because...daa daa dum...伸出圓手不見五子. Hah. This one is actually rather funny. For those who don't know, its Doraemon!

This joke doesn't stop there, but somehow I've forgotten the rest of it. I'll put it up when I remember. Friday night was a good fun night, with poker, 拱豬 or as I like to pronounce it "gong zuuuuu," and XBOX. We should have more of these, say once a month!

Youthful Reminisces

These past four days have been a trip down memory lane. I'm going to try to organize some of the memories for blogging, though not all in this post. My parents, M and I took a road trip to Hualien, partly as a family get-away, and also to introduce our Taiwanese hometown to a group of my brother's ( Albert Wu see here and here ) students from France. I was cleaning out old draft emails when I came upon these quotes. 1. “Set your goals high; make friends with different kinds of people; enjoy simple pleasures.
