Jazz on the Hill

We went to Jazz on the Hill yesterday, a Jazz festival put together by KCSM Jazz 91 at the College of San Mateo. Great, sunny day, with good music and a couple of nice food trucks parked nearby. A fun way to spend the afternoon!

One of the musicians, Barbara Dane, is 87 years old! Pretty impressive. She has a dusky, powerful voice that is compelling and makes you want to finish listening to her!

I've worked with stainless steel in the machine shop, and it isn't exactly the easiest metal to drill or lathe. So to be able to print it, wow. Another interesting company is Shapeways. Here's a video (not metal printing in this case though).
