These videos are well worth the watch. I think all those interviewed are heavyweights in Taiwan's scientific community. Some have also held influential positions in the DPP administration. They all believe that the last 8 years of DPP government has been good and beneficial to science and research in Taiwan. Let's hope that the DPP has another 4-8 years to push through some of the reforms they have started.

3D metal printing

I've worked with stainless steel in the machine shop, and it isn't exactly the easiest metal to drill or lathe. So to be able to print it, wow. Another interesting company is Shapeways. Here's a video (not metal printing in this case though).
