Aerobics is good for the mind!

Nature reports that aerobics is good for you, not just physically but mentally! Comparing two groups of over 50s, one that did only stretching and others that walked actively, the second group faired better with mental tasks. Exercise helps create brain derived neurotrophic factor, and also helps the growth of new capillaries. So I think it's pretty clear that breaking a sweat daily is important for keeping both mind and body in shape. The researchers also stressed healthy lifestyle, good nutrition, thinking positively such as replacing words like "grey" and "old" with "healthy" and "active."

Needless to say, these words of wisdom should be applicable to all age groups, perhaps besides the newborn to 3 month old babies, who obviously have trouble even walking...

M's first art installation

My son and I went exercising at the gym this morning (Feb. 2, 2019). We had physical and mental workouts, and I was full of pride to see him put together this exhibit. He called it, "Train."
